Dave on Ellen!

Dave on Ellen!

Last week we had an outdoor concert at “Ellen” featuring Dave Matthews Band.  I warmed up the crowd of almost 2,000 people, and it was a blast.  Dave’s fans sure do love him, those people were hardcore.  Earlier in the show, Ellen interviewed Jennifer Aniston.  The shows so far in season 7 have been phenomenal.  Today’s show featured Ricky Gervais (hilarious) and Courtney Cox.  Thanks to all of the great crowds so far this year!

Ellen on American Idol

Today, Ellen announced on the show that she was the new judge on “American Idol!” I must say, the crowd was shocked, and it turned into an immediate standing ovation. During the commercial break, I announced, “There she is, the new judge on American Idol….Ellen DeGeneres.” Ellen looked at me, nodded, and you could tell she was really thrilled. The entire studio was really excited for her. It was pretty cool to be the first person to give her a shout out for her new job.

I think that she’ll do a great, being the judge that speaks for the people. Ellen is a fan, just like the rest of America. It’s funny…Four years ago, I was working for Ryan Seacrest. Soon after that, I was hired on Ellen, and I’ve even done audience warm-up on Idol a few times. Those are my people.

By the way, we had the Real Housewives of Atlanta on “Ellen” yesterday, and they were drama! Ellen had to get in the middle of them, and break up the bickering and catfights. I will not be inviting them to any party we have any time soon.

Also, congrats to Derek Jeter, tied for most hits ever for a Yankee. I don’t like them Yanks, but Jeter was born in Pequannock, NJ!

Audience Warm-up at “Ellen”

I’m back for Season 7 warming up the great crowds of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” We just taped our season premiere, and you have to check out this video of Ellen dancing with the Top 10 of “So You Think You Can Dance.” (Click below) I also did audience warm-up a few times this summer over at SYTYCD. Summer break was great, but I’m glad to be back home over at “Ellen.” Go to ellentv.com for tickets. I’ll see you then. Goodbye now.
